What is a reservation for a rural accommodation?

Rural lodges are holiday homes available for short-term rental. The entire accommodation will be at your disposal for the duration of your stay, as if you had a second home.

Unlike hotels and guest rooms, you will be independent and will have to do your shopping, cleaning and will not have access to hotel services.

But every house is different and you will not feel like you are in a chain hotel, but in a new home and with private common areas.

What should I bring for my week in a rural lodge?

The rural lodge is a furnished rental. Take everything you need to live there: your belongings of course, but also your kitchen linen, your bath towels, your food and your household products (at least the essentials).

We offer as an option in addition to accommodation the rental of sheets and towels. You can choose this during your online booking.

We always provide basic kitchen essentials such as oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. The rest can be taken with you or purchased on site.

The cottage is equipped, you will find tools for cleaning, cooking, washing, etc.

Are there any charges to pay?

Our rental price includes water, gas, electricity and heating.

We also provide a free WiFi internet connection.

Bed linen is included and we provide bath sheets as an option.

How does the departure and arrival happen?

We will welcome you on site, show you around the accommodation, give you the explanations you need and give you the keys to the accommodation.

For departure, we will also be present to collect the keys and take stock of the premises with you.

Arrivals generally take place from 5 p.m. and departure before 10 a.m. If you need special times, contact us to agree on arrival and departure arrangements.

Can I get a rental contract?

Once you have booked, we will send you an email confirmation with:

  • a rental contract
  • our rental conditions
  • the accommodation description sheet
  • instructions for payment of the deposit and validation of the contract.

In this confirmation email, you will have a personal link which will allow you to find all the information about your reservation. We use the services of "Gîte et Bien" for our reservations and these tools allow us to offer you reservation tracking as if you had reserved on major platforms such as AirBnb, Booking or Gîtes de France.

An option is placed on the gîte while you validate the contract and send your deposit payment. The deadline is specified. Beyond that, the cottage is put back on sale for the requested period.

Once the deposit has been paid and the contract has been validated, you will still have to pay the balance 30 days before your arrival.

Sometimes, when the stay is close, we ask you to pay the entire stay or pay the balance upon arrival.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, we require a deposit of 30% of the reservation amount to confirm the reservation.

When your stay is near, we may ask you to pay the entire stay in the deposit or agree with you to pay the balance on the day of your arrival.

What are the cancellation conditions?

Once your reservation is confirmed with payment of the deposit, the cancellation conditions depend on the proximity of the stay. The earlier you are in your stay, the higher the refund since we will have time to offer the accommodation again to other customers. If you cancel shortly before the stay, then we keep part of the reservation amount.

Each reservation is different and has its own cancellation conditions. We invite you to consult our general conditions of sale from the footer of this page or log into your reservation area where the cancellation conditions specific to your stay are indicated.

Can I take out cancellation insurance?

We do not offer cancellation insurance ourselves, but there are many insurance companies on the internet that offer this service. Go to Google and type in “Cancellation insurance”, you will find many.

The best known is that of Europ Assistance, but there are many others. Be careful to compare, it is not the most expensive that are the best.

Is the cottage suitable for disabled people?

Our cottage is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
